A Fight For Life

Hurricane María spread toxic coal ash from landfills into the air and groundwater of the island, aggravating a longstanding problem. Members of protest groups privately grapple with María’s impact while they publicly continue the fight for a future without coal. Created as part of the project Aftermath, which can be found at https://aftermath.unc.edu/. It has been recognized by HuffPost, SXSW and the College Photographer of the Year Awards.

For this video, I worked as producer, cinematographer, and editor with a team of web developers, graphic designers, a writer and another videographer.
